Dillie Bread

Dillie Bread

Dissolve one pkg. dry yeast in 1/4 cup of warm water.

Combine in mixing bowl:

1 cup creamed cottage cheese at room temperature
2 Tbsp white sugar
1 Tbsp instant minced onion
1 Tbsp soft butter
1 tsp dill seed
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp soda
1 unbeaten egg
Softened yeast

Add:
2-1/4 to 2-1/2 cups flour to form a stiff dough. Beat well after each addition. Cover and let set in a warm place until double in size, about an hour. Stir dough down. Place in a WELL greased 8" round casserole. (1-1/2 to 2 qt. size.) You can also make rolls by putting two balls into well-greased muffin cups, about 1/2 full. Let rise 30-40-mins. Bake at 350 degrees about 40 mins. for casserole or 15 mins. for buns. Brush with soft butter and sprinkle with salt. Very good and different.
