Local restaurant to donate 10% of proceeds to tsunami aid

Pop's Sweet Shop at 570 North Chestnut will be donating 10% of the proceeds from its Tuesday night meals to the Red Cross this month to help provide relief to the tsunami victims. Shelly Butler, owner of Pop's said that each Tuesday night a full course meal including dessert will be offered for $6.50 between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. She said the Tuesday night meals are known as Marilyn's Meals in memory of her mother and 10% of the proceeds have usually gone to local organizations. This month because of the tsunami disaster, the donations will go to the Red Cross. This Tuesday's meal will be mostaccioli.
