MaryAnn Stokowski - November 16, 2004

MaryAnn Stokowski, 86, of 332 W. Eighth St., Minonk, died at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 16, 2004) in Dana at the home of her daughter.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Minonk, with Father Neri Greskoviak and Father Ray Guthrie officiating. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at Calvert & Froelich Memorial Home, Minonk, with a vigil service at 5 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Minonk, or OSF Franciscan Hospice of Central Illinois, 301 W. Washington St., Pontiac, IL 61764.

She was born July 12, 1918, in Minonk, the daughter of William A. and Anna M. Gollon Konwinski. She married James J. Stokowski on Sept. 25, 1938, in Princeton. He died April 2, 1988.

Surviving are four daughters, Karen A. (Jerry) Mooradian of Rutland; Norie K. (Tommie) Alaimo of Pittsview, Ala.; Mary Lou (Kaywin) Paris of Dana; and Kathleen J. (Richard) Rossman of Rutland; one son, David E. (Sherri) Stokowski of Minonk; two brothers, John Konwinski of Minonk and Stanley Konwinski of Marseilles; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Frances O'Connor, and two grandchildren.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Minonk.

She was a homemaker and had previously worked at the Coral Lounge in Minonk for two years
