WW II Memorial in Washington - May 7, 2004
The National World War II Memorial was opened to the public this month. The official
dedication will take place on Memorial Day, May 31. The $174 million memorial was
designed by architect Friedrich St. Florian and has view of the Lincoln Memorial to the
west and the Washington Monument to the east. These pictures are the courtesy of Joe Ketchmark
and were taken by his daughter Jill while in Washington last week.
