Bald eagle and wild turkeys - February 29, 2004
Ruth Ann Meierhofer took this picture of a bald eagle that was perched at the top of a
cottonwood tree in the front of her house 1 mile southwest of Minonk. It is the first
recorded sighting of a bald eagle in the Minonk area that anyone can remember.

These wild turkeys were found in a field near Metamora.
