Beef Noodle Bake

Beef Noodle Bake

1 1/2# ground beef or ground turkey
1 small onion
2 cans (8 oz. ea.) tomato sauce
1 cup (8 oz.) sour cream
1 pkg. (3 oz.) cream cheese cubed and softened
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 to 1 tsp. garlic salt
7 cups uncooked wide egg noodles, cook and drain
1 cup (4 oz.) shredded cheddar cheese

In a skillet, cook beef or turkey and onion until meat is no longer pink; drain. Remove from heat; stir in tomato sauce, sour cream,cream cheese, sugar and garlic salt; mix until blended. Place 1/2 of the noodles in a greased 13 x 9 pan; top with 1/2 of beef mixture. Repeat layers. Cover and bake 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until heated through. Sprinkle with cheese; bake 3-5 minutes longer or until cheese is melted. Serves 6
