Streusel Filled Coffee Cake
Mix together thoroughly:
1/4 c.soft shortening
Stir in...1/2 c.milk
Sift together..11/2c. flour
2 t. baking powder
11/2 t. salt
Mix together thoroughly the STREUSEL TOPPING
1/2C. brown sugar
2 t. cinnamon
2T. melted butter
Spread half of batter in greased & floured pan (9 in square pan)
Sprinkle with half the streusel mix.Add rest of batter and sprinkle rest of streusel mix on top.
Bake in 375 oven for 30 to 35 minutes.
NOTE: A thin frosting can be drizzled over top if desired!!!
