This week's recipe is submitted by Ruth Ann Meierhofer of Minonk.
Microwave Caramel Corn
1 cup brown sugar
1 stick butter or margarine
1\4 cup corn syrup
1\2 teaspoon baking soda
8 qts. popped corn in large micro safe bowl
Combine first three ingredients in 2 1\2 quart bowl. Bring to a boil on
high for 3 minutes. Stir at least once. Boil again on high for 3 minutes
and stir. Add 1\2 teaspoon baking soda, stir to mix well. Pour over 8 qts.
popped corn and mix. Put back into microwave on high for 3 minutes, stir
every 30 seconds. Spread on waxed paper and let cool.
