Catalpa tree, young apples and flags - June 11, 2001

The old saying that when the catalpa tree blooms then rain is on the way was true this year as the Minonk area received over 3 inches of rain the first week of June.

It looks like a good apple crop this year as evidenced by this thick cluster of young Golden Delicious apples in an orchard near Minonk.

The flags are waving in the Minonk Township Cemetery to commemorate Memorial Day.
