Cornfield, augers and jug - May 28, 2001

This cornfield shown here on a farm west of Minonk was already knee high by the 4th of June.

The little brown jug shown here was given to the winner of the Minonk-Wenona baskeball games since 1928. The tradition ended in 1992 when the two school districts consolidated.

These grain augers lined up at the Sauder Implement dealership lot north of town look like giant praying mantisses.
