This view of the Illinois Central depot is looking south from Fifth Street. Notice the bandstand at
the far right of the picture. The I.C. removed the bandstand from the I. C. park on November 17, 1909.
Therefore, we can assume that this picture was taken before 1909.
Also on August 30, 1906 the Illinois Central put in gates at the Fourth and Fifth street crossings
to do away with flagmen.
