CURTIS M. DAVISON

Curtis Davison attended the Minonk High School from 1908 to 1911. He was in the first draft, Class A and was sent to Camp Jackson, South Carolina, September 26, 1917, at the age of twenty-four years. On October 10 he was promoted to Corporal and transferred to Camp Wheeler, Macon, Georgia. Then in August he was promoted to sergeant. Curtis was retained at Camp Wheeler as an instructor for new men. On October 16 he sailed from New York, landing in France. He was sent to the front at the signing of the armistice. He is at present serving on Military Police duty in France.

FRANK MATUSZEWICZ

Frank Matuszewicz attended Minonk High School from 1914 to 1917. He enlisted at Bloomington, Illinois, at the age of nineteen in the Air Service. He was transferred from there to Jefferson Barracks, Missouri, and from there to Kelly Field, Texas. Later he was sent with 333rd Aero Squadron to Morrison, Virginia, where he remained for six months. March 25 he was promoted to corporal. In the early part of July he went to Hempstead, Long Island, New York, and on July 30 he left for England on the transport, "Mandingo." Arrived in Liverpool August 15, from where he went to Winchester and Thetford and finally to Duxford. He sailed for home, November 15, on the Mauertania, landing in New York City. He was discharged at Camp Grant on December 24, 1918.
