Stranded Train - 1918 |
On January 17, 1918 a blizzard hit the Minonk area and a passenger train became stranded in the snow one mile east of Benson on the Santa Fe tracks. The passengers were taken by bobsled to Benson where they were royally entertained by the local townspeople. Trains were stranded all over the area during that storm and it took two days before the train could move again.swiss replica watches |
