This is a picture of Air Force 1 and the escort jets over Minonk on September 11 that carried President Bush back to Washington in wake of the terrorist attacks. This picture was taken by Don Sweeney of Minonk.

This beanfield is starting to turn and will be ready for harvest in a couple of weeks. The late beans are especially good this year because of the plentiful rainfall in August.
