Two row corn picker

This 2 row corn picker was the fore runner to the huge combines used now days to harvest corn. The man on the F20 Farmall tractor is Bill VonBehren. His neighbor Lester Lindley tells us that Bill's 2 row picker saved them a lot of back breaking work.

In Lester's words "Bill's corn picker made a most favorable impression on us, and forever has our gratitude when he showed up with a mounted two-row corn picker. Even as young kids we were all involved in "opening" corn fields by picking the first two rows by hand, always getting sore, hard-to-heal blisters between our thumbs and first finger."
