Thursday, December 2, 2004 Posted 11:30 a.m.
Springfield - As the Spring Legislative Session begins in mid-January, State Senator Dan Rutherford is asking Illinois citizens to access his website at www.DanRutherford.com, and complete the survey on issues important to them in Illinois.

Senator Rutherford explained that it is always good to receive input, but emphasized that feedback becomes particularly important as the legislature prepares to convene for the new General Assembly.

-It is important to get public feedback,- stated Rutherford. -Certain issues, such as efforts to impose stricter gun control laws, and Governor Blagojevich-s and Chicago Mayor Daley-s ongoing debate over the possibility of allowing land-based casinos in Illinois, will be important.-

Those interested in providing feedback on the possible gambling expansion, gun control laws or other important issues may access Senator Rutherford-s confidential survey at www.DanRutherford.com, under the -Take Our Survey- tab.
