Senator Rutherford explained that it is always good to receive input, but emphasized that
feedback becomes particularly important as the legislature prepares to convene for the new General Assembly.
-It is important to get public feedback,- stated Rutherford. -Certain issues, such as efforts to impose
stricter gun control laws, and Governor Blagojevich-s and Chicago Mayor Daley-s ongoing debate
over the possibility of allowing land-based casinos in Illinois, will be important.-
