Kurt Barth to be inducted into Eureka College Hall of Fame

Fieldcrest High School graduate Kurt Barth will be inducted into Eureka College's Athletic Hall of Fame in a ceremony at 6:30 p.m. today at Becker Auditorium in Eureka.

Barth lettered four years in football and one year in track. He was a three-time NCAA Division III All-American (first team in 1995, third team in '96 and honorable mention in '97) and a four-time Illini-Badger Conference Wide Receiver of the Year. In 1997, he set the Division III career receiving record with 254 receptions.

Barth played two seasons with indoor professional football leagues after graduating from Eureka College. He joined the Eureka College full-time faculty as an instructor in physical education this year and also splits the assistant athletics director duties.
