Farmers harvest crop for local farmer

Over 14 area farmers got together Friday to harvest the corn and bean crop on the Don Cremer farm. Don, who
is afflicted with Lou Gehrig's disease, said that he was overwhelmed by the show
of support shown by his fellow farmers. 200 acres of corn and 240 acres of beans were harvested by the
14 combines and hauled away by local truckers. Mr. Cremer, a life long farmer, lives one mile south and 1/2 mile east of Minonk.
