The Minonk-Dana Class of "54" held their 50th class reunion starting Friday, September 3rd with a dinner at Mona's in Toluca. 22 class members and 16 spouses and guests attended. Classmates came from as far away as California, Texas, Arizona, Missouri and Alabama.
A book was made up with short biographies of many class members and distributed to those at the gathering and sent to some who were unable to be there.
Saturday morning the group gathered for breakfast at The Range restaurant in El Paso, toured the Fieldcrest High School and the Minonk Grade School. Our thanks to Steven Wallick and Rebecca Oltman for conducting the tours. After the tours they gathered at the new pavilion at the West Park where they visited and reminisced for most of the afternoon.
It was suggested the next reunion be held in 3 years instead of 5 and to have it again on Labor Day weekend. The committee for this years reunion was Donna Cunningham, Ron Folkerts and Lloyd Barth. The committee for the next reunion is Agnes Gaspardo, Shirley Miller, Jack Jochums and Carl Klendworth.
