Memorial Day services to be held on Monday

A Memorial Day ceremony will be held on Monday, May 31, at 10:00 a.m. in the Fieldcrest
High School gymnasium. Speeches will be given by Reverend Richard Olson of the Minonk
First Baptist Church and by Fieldcrest students Amy Kreiser and Jessica Nichols. A cemetery
roll call will be read and Elaine Cunningham will play the bagpipes.
Jack Jochums will read the Gettysburg Address and his son Joel Jochums will sing a hymn accompanied
by Mary Meils on the piano. The ceremony will conclude with a 21 gun salute and the playing of the taps by Wade
Seggerman.
The public is invited to attend to show their respect for those
who have served and died for their country.
