Margaret Wylie - January 15, 2002

BLOOMINGTON -- The graveside service of Margaret Wylie, 81, of 2025 E. Lincoln St., Bloomington, will be at 1 p.m. EST at Riverside Cemetery, Dowagiac, Mich. Rabbi Morley Feinstein will officiate. There will be no visitation. Carmody-Flynn Williamsburg Funeral Home, Bloomington, is in charge of arrangements.

She died at 10 a.m. Tuesday (Jan. 15, 2002) at Manorcare Nursing Home, Peoria.

Memorials may be made to Moses Montefiore Temple, 102 Robinhood Lane, Bloomington, IL 61701; or Easter Seals-UCP Timber Pointe Camp, 20 Timber Pointe Lane, Hudson, IL 61748.

Mrs. Wylie was born June 30, 1920, at Chicago, the daughter of March F. and Helen Lee Wells. She married James Wylie in 1941. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include one daughter, Rachel (Phillip) Olsson, Peoria Heights; two sons, James "Rick" Wylie, Bloomington, and Wells (Wendy) Wylie, Englewood, Colo.; and one brother, March (Sara) Wells, Louisville, Ky.

Also surviving are three grandchildren, Darin (Beth) Spaniol, Morton; James (Sara) Spaniol, Bolingbrook; and James Wylie, Englewood, Colo.; and two great-grandchildren, Megan and Jacob Spaniol of Bolingbrook.

Her parents and a sister, Mary Lee Wells, preceded her in death.

In Bloomington, she was a past member of the Antiquarian Club; a past board member of the McLean County Cancer Association; a past member of the Lucy Orme Morgan Home for Girls; and a past member of the St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member of Moses Montefiore Temple, Bloomington.

Mrs. Wylie lived for a short time in Minonk and, while living there, wrote a weekly column for the Minonk News Dispatch. She also formed an auxiliary for what was then called the Lida Rest Home.
