Joseph C. Troxell - May 23, 2001

Joseph C. Troxell 83 of 420 E. 7th Street Minonk passed away at 7:35 P.M. Wednesday May 23, 2001 at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. His Funeral Service will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday May 26, 2001 at the Folkers-Froelich Memorial Home in Minonk with the Rev. Connie Jenkins officiating. Graveside services will be 1:30 P.M. in the Bethel Cemetery in Pleasant Hill, IL with the Rev. Tim Hille officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until time of service at the Memorial Home. Memorials may be directed to St. Francis Hospice or to the American Cancer Society.

Mr. Troxell was born on July 31, 1917 in Span Hill KY the son of Charlie and Ollie West Troxell. He married Evelyn Marie Rogers on June 04, 1939 in Virginia IL, she passed away on February 21, 1986.

He is survived by five sons Joe C (Sue) Troxell Jr. of Pekin, Ernie (Jackie) Troxell of Washington, Everett (Vanessa) Troxell of Peoria, Raymond of Peoria, and Roger (Gerri) of Peoria, two daughters Bonnie (Dennis) Bartholomew of Sacramento CA, and Dawn (Christopher) Zivney of Minonk.

Also surviving are two brothers Link (Lilly) Troxell of Sunnyland, Leonard (Shonny) Troxell of Virginia Beach, two sisters Shirley (Steve) Session of Spring Bay IL and Eva (Alex) Avizenis of Georgetown TX. Also surviving are twelve Grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. His parents and three brothers preceded him.

He was a member of Local Union #51 in Springfield. He worked as a lineman for 42 years for West Central Utilities in Peoria Heights.
