Samuel A. Thorp obituary

Samuel A. Thorp, 50 of 228 State St. Ottawa, IL formerly of the Dana area passed away Wednesday April 24, 2002 at his residence.

A graveside service for Mr. Thorp will be 2:00 PM Monday April 29, 2002 at the Dana Cemetery, Dana. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in memory of Samuel Thorp to North Central Behavioral Health Systems, PO Box 1488, La Salle, IL 61301 or to the American Heart Association, Memorial & Tributes Program, Dept. 77-3968, Chicago, IL 60678-8236. Folkers Froelich Memorial Home, Minonk is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Thorp was born December 24, 1951 in Streator the son of Clarence A. and Juanita LeVelle Thorp. Surviving are his parents Clarence and Juanita Thorp of Minonk; one sister Sheila (Robert) Bernard of Toluca; two nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by one brother Scott Thorp.

Mr. Thorp was a graduate of Minonk Dana Rutland High School and attended the University of Illinois. He was known for his love of music and for playing the drums.
