Marjorie Jean Schmillen 74 of Minonk, died 4:09 A.M. Monday, May 21, 2001 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, Illinois. Her Funeral Mass will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday, May 23, 2001 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Minonk with Rev. Robert Gilles officiating, burial will follow in Reilly Cemetery, Rutland.

Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. Until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 22, 2001 at Froelich Memorial Home, Minonk with a rosary recited at 8:00 P.M. Memorials may be directed to St. Patrick's Catholic Church, or to Charity of donors choice.

Mrs. Schmillen was born on December 20, 1926 in Streator, IL the daughter of Otto Albert and Marie Heuwitt Kark. She married James R. Schmillen June 7, 1947 in Rutland, Illinois he survives along with one daughter Sandra (Robert) Bentley of Minonk, two sons Steve (Pat) Schmillen of Ottawa, Il and Joseph (Teresa) Schmillen of Minonk, She is surviving her sister Eileen (Robert) Gautschy from Streator, Illinois. Also surviving are five granddaughters Kerri Schmillen, Laura Schmillen, Angela (Bill) Solley, Katie Schmillen, and Nicole Schmillen and two great-grandchildren Cody James and Willamena Solley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sons Richard and two in infancy.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Minonk, and the Alter and Rosary Society of St. Patrick's. She had bee employee by the Minonk State Bank from 1967 until 1992 when she retired. She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother and a friend to many to whom she'll be missed.
