Fred Rutkowski - March 23, 2001

Fred Rutkowski, 90, of Minonk died at 8:19 p.m. Friday (March 23, 2001) at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Minonk.

His funeral Mass was held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's Church, Minonk, with the Rev. Robert Gilles officiating.

Mr. Rutkowski was born on Feb. 26, 1911, in Minonk, the son of John and Bertha Knoll Rutkowski.

Survivors include two sisters; Elizabeth Gnavi, Collinsville; and Marge "Dale" tolan, Colfax.

Other survivors include many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister.

He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, the Knights of Columbus in Minonk and the St. Patrick's Drama Club.

Mr. Rutkowski worked for the Illinois Cenral Railroad for more than 40 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the Minonk Veterans of Foreign Wars and Minonk American Legion posts.
