Funeral Services for Mr. Ruestman will be 11:00 AM Friday September 14, 2001 at St. Paul-s United Church of Christ, Minonk with the Rev. Daniel Gansch-Boythe officiating. Burial will follow in Minonk TWP Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour before the service on Friday at the Church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul-s United Church of Christ. Folkers - Froelich Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Ruestman was born August 19, 1919 in Rural Minonk the son of Peter and Helena Cremer Ruestman Sr.. He married Blanche Marie Krull on September 9, 1940 in Minonk. She passed away August 18, 1992. Surviving is one daughter Linda (Tom) Ford of Gilbert, AZ, two sons Arlen (Bev) Ruestman and Neil (Jeanie) Ruestman both of Toluca, nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Mr. Ruestman was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and seven sisters.

Mr. Ruestman was a graduate of Minonk High School and attended Milwaukee School of Engineering. He farmed most of his adult life on the farm he was born, retiring in 1984 and staying on the farm till 1992 when he moved in to town. Mr. Ruestman was a lifetime member of St. Paul-s United Church of Christ where he was a member of the church choir. He served on St. Paul-s church council for ten years where he was treasurer for four years, house committee chairperson for two years and council president for four years. He was a member of Woodford County Farm Bureau, past leader of local 4 - H Club and past president of Woodford County Health Improvement Association. The joy of his live was his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
