Vurble Gladys Paris - October 14, 2002

DANA -- Vurble Gladys Paris, 87, of 302 E. Washington, Dana, formerly of Granville, died at 4:50 a.m. Monday (Oct. 14, 2002) at her residence. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Dana Methodist Church, with the Rev. Connie Jenkins and the Rev. Gretchen Stinebaugh officiating. Burial will follow in Dana Cemetery, Dana. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Froelich Memorial Home, Minonk.

She was born April 24, 1915, in Leitchfield, Ky., a daughter of James W. and Margaret Harrell Probus. She married Elbert Paris on Dec. 23, 1939, in Leitchfield, Ky. He died in August of 1982.

Survivors include three daughters, Jean (Don) Cook, Normal; Beverly (Jesse) Miller, Sonora, Ky.; and Betty Jo Rainey, Dana; four sons, Kaywin (Lou) Paris, Dana; Carmon (Ava) Paris, Joliet; Kermit (Kathy) Paris, Panama Beach City, Fla.; and Kerwin Paris, Ogelsby; 17 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, a sister and one daughter, Hazel (Les) Bianchi.

She was a member of Dana United Methodist Church.
