Robert B. Milashoski - March 9, 2002

Robert B. Milashoski 75 of Minonk and formally of Streator where he lived from 1970 until 1991 passed away at 4:42 P.M Saturday, March 9, 2002 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington. His funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday at St. Patrick-s Catholic Church, Minonk with the Rev. Donald Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in St. Patrick-s Cemetery with military honors by the Minonk American Legion Post. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Froelich Memorial Home in Minonk with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. Memorials may be directed to the American Lung Association 3000 Kelly Lane Springfield, Il 62707 or St. Patrick-s Church, Minonk.

He was born on July 31, 1926 in Minonk the son of Walter and Frances Wypeski Milashoski. He married Marilyn -Mernie- Tjaden on February 14 1953 in Minonk. She survives along with one sister Joan Janssen Schneider of Minonk. He is also survived by nephews and nieces, Steve Milashoski of El Paso, Tom Milashoski, Roger Milashoski, Joe Milashoski, Paul Milashoski, David Milashoski all of Minonk, Bill Janssen of Watseka, and Jim Janssen of Minonk, Mary Kipp Janssen of Normal, Brad Tjaden and Bruce Tjaden both of Minonk, Lori Murhpy of South Carolina, Amy Robbins-Tjaden of North Carolina and Becci Robbins of South Carolina.

He was preceded in death by one brother William of Minonk and three nieces Susan McCurdy, Sue Ann Janssen, and Leanne Tjaden all of Minonk

Mr. Milashoski was a member of St. Patrick-s Catholic Minonk. He was a Navy veteran of WWII and was a member of the Minonk American Legion Post where he held many offices and served as past commander

He was employed by General Telephone Company for forty years retiring in 1984
