Robert L. McCormick - March 27, 2002
The funeral for Robert L. McCormick, 64, of Minonk, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Folkers-Froelich Memorial Home, Minonk. The Rev. Daniel Gansch-Boythe will officiate. Burial will be in Minonk Township Cemetery, Minonk. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. today at the memorial home.
He died at 3:43 p.m. Wednesday (March 27, 2002) at his residence. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. He was born Feb. 23, 1938, in Minonk, the son of Robert S. and Hilda G. Barth McCormick. Surviving are his mother, Hilda G. McCormick, Minonk; three sons, Thomas R. McCormick, Flanagan; Erick P. McCormick, Des Moines, Iowa; and Brian H. McCormick, Metamora; three daughters, Angelika E. (Raymond) Powell, Bloomington; Diana L. (Jeff) Lindenbaum, Mansfield; and Amanda McCormick, Minonk; two sisters, Shirley (Bernard) Hansen, Streator; and Barbara (John) Uphoff, Minonk; one brother, Richard (Linda) McCormick, Bloomington; and six grandchildren. His father precedes him in death. Mr. McCormick was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Minonk. He was self-employed. He owned and operated McCormick Contracting, Minonk. He served in the U.S. Army.
