Viola Knack - March 5, 2001

Viola Marie Knack, 86, a resident of the Good Samaritan Home, Flanagan, formerly of Minonk, died at 11:40 p.m. Monday (March 5, 2001) at OSF Saint James Hospital, Pontiac. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Folkers-Froelich Memorial Home, Minonk, the Rev. Daniel Gansch-Boythe officiating. Burial will be in Minonk Township Cemetery, Minonk. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the memorial home. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Minonk, or to the Good Samaritan Home, Flanagan.

She was born June 20, 1914, in Flanagan, a daughter of Mathew and Mary Obert Thiel. She married Robert Knack on May 23, 1938, He died Jan. 9, 1975. Survivors include four daughters, Edith (Rodney) Schwark, Hersher; Judy (Harvey) Perschke, Hurstisford, Wis.; Harriet Breitzman, Milwaukee, Wis.; and Arlene (Ronald) Stover, Wausaw, Wis.; two sons, Howard (Kay) Knack, Minonk; and Paul (Elaine) Knack, Juneau, Wis; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her parents, three sons, one sister, and one grandson. Mrs. Knack was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Minonk.
