She died at 4:50 p.m. Friday (Dec. 7, 2001) at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Minonk.

Mrs. Kalkwarf was born Oct. 28, 1914, in Minonk Township, the daughter of Gus and Anna Rients Timmerman. She married William Kalkwarf on Feb. 24, 1938, in Minonk. He died on Nov. 18, 1982.

Survivors include one sister, Ellis (Everett) Bauman, Benson; and two brothers, Elmer (Erma) Timmerman and Raymond (Ilene) Timmerman, both of Minonk.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Anna Carls; and one brother, Gus Timmerman.

Mrs. Kalkwarf was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ.
