Virgie L. Ingerski - February 6, 2002

Virgie L. Ingerski, 81 years of Montgomery, IL died Wednesday, February 6, 2002 at Provena Mercy Center in Aurora, IL.

She was born February 25, 1920 at Scott, LA the daughter of the late Gaston and Lucille nee Bourgeois Landry.

During World War II she served her country honorably in the US Army attaining the rank of 1st Sgt.

She had worked as a Clerk for the US Post Office in Minonk, IL. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Oswego, IL the SAS group of St. Anne's, Aurora Moose Lodge #400 Auxiliary, American Legion Post #675 of Oswego, IL, former member of the Minonk, IL Library Board and a former member/past president of the Woodford County TB Association.

Survivors include four brothers Patrick (Rosie) Landry, Warren (Eva Mae), Landry, Harold (Thelma) Landry all of Scott, LA, Wilson (Mildred) Landry of Lafayette, LA, a sister-in-law Ruby Landry of Iota, LA and by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond Ingerski, a sister Eugenia Randall and a brother Oran Landry.

Visitation will take place on Friday, February 8, 2002 at the McKeown-Dunn Funeral Home, LTD at 210 S. Madison St. in Oswego, IL from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a Liturgical Wake service at 3:00 p.m. conducted by Rev. Dan Stempora.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, February 10, 2002 at the Martin-Castille Funeral Home on Alfred St. in Scott, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 11, 2002 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Scott, LA. Entombment will take place at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery in Scott, LA.
