George Alvin Henry - February 8, 2002
Minonk-Funeral Services for George Alvin Henry formerly of 2285 S. Walnut, will be 11:00 AM, Friday, Feb. 8, 2002 at the Folkers-Froelich Memorial Home in Minonk with Rev. Craig Swenson officiating. Burial will follow in Crow Cemetery in LaRose. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the memorial home. Memorials may be directed to charity of donor-s choice.
He passed away, 1:30 PM, Tuesday, February 05, 2002 at Palos Community Hospital in Palos Heights, Illinois. Mr. Henry was born on March 27, 1905 in Lacon, Illinois the son of Samuel Alvin and Irena McClary Henry. He married Eva Bonefield March 21, 1928 she passed away September 19, 1974. He later married Etta Janssen on August 20, 1975. She passed away April 24, 1990. He is survived by a step-daughter Carol (Walt) Finley, Chandler, Arizona and a step-daughter-in-law Betty (Duane) Janssen, Orland Park; a sister Leanore Owen, Lacon and many nieces and nephews in Lacon. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and one sister Mr. Henry attended Immanuel Lutheran Church, Minonk. He worked as a self employed auto mechanic in Minonk. |
