Harm U. Cremer, 88 - October 7, 2001

Harm U. Cremer, 88 of Minonk, a resident of Beulah Land Christian Home, Flanagan passed away at 3:55 PM Sunday October 7, 2001 at OSF St. James Hospital, Pontiac.

Funeral service for Mr. Cremer will be 11:00 AM Wednesday October 10, 2001 at St. Paul-s United Church of Christ, Minonk with the Rev. Daniel Gansch-Boythe officiating. Burial with Military rites will follow in the Minonk TWP Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Folkers Froelich Memorial Home, Minonk and for an hour before the service at the church on Wednesday. Memorials may be directed to St. Paul-s United Church of Christ, Minonk.

Mr. Cremer was born September 26, 1913 in Mason City, Iowa the son of Udo H. and Lena Meyer Cremer. He married Marie A. Orns on December 6, 1942 in Minonk. She passed away on September 18, 1990. Surviving are two sons Harold D. (Carolyn) Cremer of Decatur, GA and Howard L. (Donna) Cremer of Glen Carbon, IL, six grandchildren Melanie Cremer, Brian Cremer, Jennie Nesmith, Robert Sutton, Eric (Jeanne) Cremer and Dorinda Cremer and one great granddaughter Allison Cremer.

Mr. Cremer was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Mr. Cremer was a member of St. Paul-s United Church of Christ and the Minonk American Legion. He was an Army veteran of WW II having served with the 7th Armored Division. He was a farmer, a Road Commissioner for Minonk TWP for 18 years and a Brick Mason for nearly 30 years.
