Herman F. Durre - March 25, 2002

The funeral service for Herman F. Durre, 81 of Minonk will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 28, 2002 at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Craig Swenson officiating. Burial will follow in Minonk Township Cemetery, with Military Services conducted by Minonk American Legion Post. Visitation will be 1 hour before the service at the church. Froelich Memorial Home, Minonk is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials may be directed to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Minonk.

Mr. Durre passed away 5:30 P.M. Monday, March 25, 2002 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Minonk where he had been a resident for the past two years.

Mr. Durre was born August 19, 1920 in Flanagan, Illinois the son of Albert and Hatti Yordy Durre. He married Marjorie E. Zivney on February 1, 1949 in Minonk. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Marc L (Fran) Durre and John N. (Bonnie) Durre, both of Minonk, four sisters, Hilda Schertz, Erdene Moline, and Mary Ellen (Martin) Lange all of Peoria and Luella Koch of Flanagan, three brothers, Richard (Agnes) Durre, Robert (Marjorie) Durre, Myron (Marie) Durre all of Flanagan. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Wendy Durre, Jason Durre and Joseph Durre.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brother-s and one sister.

He was a farmer in the Minonk and Flanagan areas, he also worked at Durre Bros. and Minonk Dairy.

Mr. Durre was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Minonk and Minonk American Legion Post.

He was Army Veteran of WWII and was stationed in Alaska and India.
