Burdette Burris - Dec. 14, 2001

TOLUCA -- The funeral for Burdette B. "Butch" Burris, 90, of Toluca, formerly of Dana, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Dana United Methodist Church, the Rev. Connie Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in Dana Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Ries-McKitrick & Newton Mortuary, Washburn Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.

He died at 12:20 a.m. Friday (Dec. 14, 2001) at Heritage Manor, El Paso.

Memorials may be made to the Dana Fire Department, Dana United Methodist Church or the Boy Scouts.

He was born June 26, 1911, in Freeport, the son of Matthew and Minnie Klesath Burris.

Survivors include four sisters, Thelma Bost, Minonk; Velva Spires, Fairfax, Va.; Louise Livingston, Rockford; and Darlene Leonard, St. Louis, Mo.; and a half brother, John D. Burris, Gurley, Ala.
