Hazel I. Bianchi - May 29, 2002

DANA -- Hazel I. Bianchi, 59, of 102 N. Schafer St., Granville, formerly of Dana, died at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday (May 29, 2002) at St. Margaret's Hospital, Spring Valley.

Her funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Dysart-Cofoid Funeral Chapel with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, both in Granville. Father Howard C. Barch will officiate. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Granville. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral chapel, with a prayer service at 8 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Cancer Treatment Center of America.

She was born Feb. 6, 1943, in Leitchfield, Ky., a daughter of Elbert and Vurble Probus Paris. She married Leslie Bianchi Nov. 28, 1964, at St. Anthony's Church, Spring Valley. He survives.

Also surviving are her mother, Vurble Paris, Granville; two daughters, Mary Katherine "Kathy" Bianchi, London, England, and Gina Bianchi, Bloomington; four brothers, Kaywin Paris, Dana; Carmon Paris, Joliet; Kermit Paris, Panama City Beach, Fla.; and Kerwin Paris, Oglesby; and three sisters, Jean Cook, Normal; Beverly Miller, Sonora, Ky.; and Betty Jo Rainey, Dana.

She was preceded in death by her father, Elbert Paris.

She was former owner of Panther Pantry Restaurant in Granville for 14 years. She recently had been employed at Mark-O's restaurant in Mark.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Granville. She attended Minonk-Dana-Rutland High School and graduated in the Class of 1962.
