Obituary

Treva J. Kleen, 88, of Minonk, IL passed away Sunday, April 28,2024, at her home surrounded by family.

Treva was born January 15, 1936, in Bloomington, the daughter of Leo and Gladys Nadine McKinley Finck. She married Lester H. Kleen on July 22, 1954, in Minonk. He died June 20, 2001.

Surviving are seven children Dale (Patty) Kleen of El Paso, April (Rick) Reysen of Eureka, Jo Ann (Dave) Farrell of Bloomington, Penny Kleen of Greenwood, MO, Steve (Ken Dorfman) Kleen of Phoenix, AZ, Robin (Amy) Kleen, and Dawn Kleen both of Minonk; four sisters Clara Paternoga and Bonnie Krug both of El Paso, Sandra (Truman) Beyer of McLean, and Joyce Schneider of Normal, and one brother Dave (Pam) Finck of El Paso; and three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters Patsy Peters-Arnold, Betty Bachman, and Nora Holt-Reysen; and two brothers Richard Finck and Edward Finck.

Treva was a farm wife and a homemaker raising her seven children. Her life revolved around her family. She was young at heart, loved hosting big family gatherings, and was known for her special quilt making for family and friends. She will be missed by so many. Heaven is a little brighter now.

The family would like to thank her Transitions team, especially her CNAs Emily and Paige who brightened her days.

Cremation rites were accorded and a graveside service will be at Minonk Twp. Cemetery on Saturday, May 11 at 1:00 p.m. A celebration of life will follow around 2:00 at the Westside Park in Minonk. Memorials may be made to International Rett Syndrome Foundation or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
