The plant is a mother-in-law's tongue and is 32 years old. The picture was taken before it was subdivided into 5 smaller plants.

The above scene is from an abandoned farm 2 miles south of Minonk. The old water tower has been defying gravity for many years. The farmstead belonged to the late Herman Timmerman.
