Downtown Minonk began the July 4th weekend with a street dance in the 400 block of Chestnut Street. The music was performed by Jury's Out from Bloomington. The band started at 8:00 pm and played well past midnight. The crowd of people was dispersed with onlookers in Canon Park and along the sidewalk on Chestnut Street.

As the evening progressed the dancing started.
Even the youngsters joined in the dancing.
Crowds lined the sidewalks and also in Canon Park across the street. The band was sponsored by the local businesses in downtown Minonk.
