The Black Partridge Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution welcomed new members and prospective members during their June meeting. During 2017-2018 five new members were welcomed: Mary Kerby of Pekin, IL, Ruth Dowell of Pekin, IL, Susan Orttel of Canton, IL, Laura Allaman of Washington, IL, and Grace Allaman of Washington, IL. Prospective members are Michelle Moreland of Mackinaw, IL, Suzanne Rose of Morton, IL, Karen Schaal of Washington, IL, and Kimberly Cooley of Washington, IL. If you are interested in becoming a member of the DAR we would be happy to help you with your paper work. Our Registrar, Debra Lammers, (309 685 6850) can help you with your research. Each member has to prove their lineage back to the Revolutionary War. Our new Regent, Valerie Horton, (309 745 8285) would be able to assist you too.

The mission of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution is to continue moving forward in our commitment to promote the DAR as we volunteer in our communities in our nation. DAR is a women's service organization dedicated to promoting historic preservation, education, patriotism, and honoring the patriots of the Revolutionary War. DAR members provide millions of hours of community service each year around the world.

Grace Allaman, Laura Allaman, Suzanne Rose, and Karen Schaal are new members or soon to be members of the Black Partridge Chapter DAR.
