2017 is the 100th anniversary of WWI. One way the chapter remembered this anniversary was having a program entitled "WWI 100th Anniversary Quilt" lead by Kenda Bond. The lesson gave the history of quilts during WWI and she shared a quilt she made honoring her Grandfather James Wilbur Honn who served in the war in France. The quilt was made with red and white materials with poppies appliqued on two sides. Along the bottom boarder were pictures of her grandpa, copies of his registration cards and WWI pictures.
