Excessive Rain Floods Corn Planted Fields
Wednesday, April 29, 2020 - Posted 6:11:15 PM
Just after farmers completed planting corn last week, the area was hit with excessive rain causing flooding of the fields and probably washing out some of the corn which will probably require replanting. Over 2.5 inches of rain fell last week and today (Tuesday) another 2.5 inches has fallen and it is still raining.
This is a view from the I-39 overpass southwest of Minonk.

This flooded area is at the corner of West 1st and Christina streets at the southwest corner of Minonk.
