2016 Volleyball Registration
Minonk Parks and Rec is currently accepting volleyball registration forms,1st - 4th grade. You can find forms at City Hall or visit www.minonkparksandrec.vicid.net. All forms must be returned to City Hall by Friday, 9/2/16.

Celebration of Life Party for Judith Wray
On August 20th at the Westside city park in Minonk from 1-4 PM. There will be a celebration of life party for Judith Wray (McGuire). The family invites the residents of Minonk that knew her to join them and share any memories, pictures, and enjoy some refreshments. Thank you!!

What a great day yesterday!! Thank you to everyone involved and all our friends and family who came out to support us! We couldn't ask for a better community to be a part of and we are so very thankful! Congrats to Dan Boland who won the 50 inch flat screen TV and to Bonnie Durre who guessed 451 on the 454 m&m bowl! She won a $25 gift card and gift bag from the store. Special thanks to mayor Bill Koos for coming up for the ribbon cutting, all the Aldermen who were there and have supported us, Corky Marshall for donating for the prizes and give aways, and Minonk community bank for the wonderful flowers.

Reminder for first day of school
Good morning! This is a reminder that the first day of school for students in Fieldcrest CUSD 6 will be Thursday, August 18, 2016. The day is planned as a full day of school. Any student riding a bus should be contacted soon by the bus driver regarding pickup times.Any student who has not yet been registered is encouraged to do so before the first day of school. Students who will be attending remote sites should also register locally. This can be done online at https://lumen.unit6.org, or in person at your child's school. Sincerely,

Fieldcrest High School Old Church Sale Items
There are 13 longer curved pews and 5 straight pews available in the old church. There are also several folding chairs, both metal and wooden, and two wooden tables available. Fieldcrest CUSD 6 is selling these on a first-come, first-served basis at a price to be set by the buyer.If you would like to buy one or more of these items, please contact the unit office at 309-432-2177 to set up a time to stop by, and to note what item(s) you are interested in.
