Jean O. Warren, 92, of Pontiac, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 3:05 a.m. at Accolade Healthcare of Pontiac in Pontiac. Her service will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home in Pontiac with Pastor C. Edward Hudelson officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Perry, MI at a later date. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of arrangements. Jean was born December 28, 1925 in Penn Yan, NY to Reverend Duncan and Ruth (Roberts) Olmstead. She married Basil G. Warren, who passed away April 13, 1985. She is survived by her children William Warren of Pontiac, IL, Charlotta (Larry) Ripley of Coloma, MI, Ruth (Paul) Elzey of Sully, IA, Terry Warren of Tonica, IL, Margaret (John) Elzey of Cornell, IL, and Brad (Tina) Warren of Bloomington, IL; sister, Eleanor Baker of East Lansing, MI; niece, Kathy (Tracy) Baker of Haslett, MI; grandchildren, Tony (Kara) Donaldson, Paul Elzey, Brian (Sonya) Elzey, Carrie (Paul) Wray, Sherrie (Michael Belverud) Elzey, Thomas Warren, Paige Warren, Heather (Jason) Gaspardo, Jennifer Elzey, Stephanie (Jack Wlezien) Elzey, Amanda Warren, and Renee Warren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Basil; and one great-grandchild, Jackson Warren. Jean was a graduate of Baldwin High School in Baldwin, MI and was a homemaker. She was a member of Minonk Presbyterian Church in Minonk, IL, the Red Hat Society and Olmste(a)d Family Association. Jean loved reading, writing, and storytelling, especially mysteries. She published her own book titled Pastoral Pursuit: A Pastor Olmstead Mystery. Memorials may be made to a memorial fund in her name at the State Bank of Graymont.
