Mildred M. Tucker, 92, of Minonk, passed away at 9:35 p.m., Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Evenglow Inn in Pontiac, IL. Her children and her niece, Tina, were by her side. Rev. Jim McGuire offered a prayer shortly after Mildred passed. Attendance and prayer was via video conferencing. She was born November 7, 1928 in Karlstad, Minnesota to John and Marie (Grieder) Fredericks.

She is now at home with the love of her life, husband Wayne J. Tucker, who died August 5, 2016. They were married 68 years, married June 20, 1948 in Dana, IL.

She was also preceded in death by one son Gary Tucker, and a sister Bertha Ward of Madera, CA and a brother Darly Fredericks.

Surviving is one son, Larry (Vivian) Tucker of Poulsbo, WA; daughter, Marie (Donald) Stimpert of Dana, IL; one sister Catherine Anderson of Madera, CA; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grand children. Many fond memories were shared with her husband, children, and grandchildren over the years.

Mildred worked 13 years for Minonk, Dana and Rutland schools. She was a member of Minonk United Methodist Church. Mildred was a great cook, famous for her cookies and cakes. She was also fantastic with a sewing machine.

Upon Mildred's request, there will be no public services and a family celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Cremation will be accorded. Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Minonk is assisting the family with arrangements. Burial of her cremains will be in Rutland Cemetery.
