Zelda G. Janssen, 96, of Minonk, passed away at 6:45 p.m. Saturday (Aug. 4, 2018) at Heritage Health, Minonk.

Her memorial Mass will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Minonk, with the Franciscan friars officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Burial will follow in Minonk Township Cemetery. Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, Minonk, is assisting family with arrangements.

Zelda was born Oct. 3, 1921, in Minonk, a daughter of Raphael and Margaret McKeon Loftus. She married Gilbert Janssen on July 26, 1941, in Minonk. They were together 60 years before he preceded her in death on March 15, 2001.

Surviving are two sons, Donald (Charlene) Janssen, Decatur, and Gary Janssen, Sebring, Fla.; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Sherrill Loftus; two sisters, Lorene Liner and Lucile Murphy; and a grandson, Stan.

Zelda was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Minonk and the Altar and Rosary Society at the church. She worked at Morrow's Drugs and Green Tree Pharmacy in Minonk for over 50 years.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
