The Minonk City Council approved an agreement with both wind farms in LaSalle County and Bennington Township
at their Monday night meeting. The agreement will restrict the placement of wind turbines to be at least 1.5 miles from the city. The agreement is the same as those passed by the cities of Wenona and Rutland.
The council also approved amending the Municipal Code of the City of Minonk 15.01 by adding language requiring a demolition permit, approved the IML Risk Management Insurance Renewal and approved the Audit FY Ending April 30, 2020. A decision on a quote from Regan Communication to replace the ATT Phone Line was tabled.
The council approved the appointment of Tom Ryan to the Parks & Recreation board.
City Administrator Bill Moline reported that Brian Greenland donated 8 trees to the City of Minonk, which were planted in Sutton and Westside Parks. and that leaf pickup will continue for 2 to 3 weeks.
