City to Increase Enforcement of Ordinance Violations

Minonk Administrative Manager Bill Moline said ordinance adherence is going to be stringently enforced and put the community on notice of this action at the Monday night city council meeting.The list of some items that will be addressed, but not limited to what is listed below are:
  • Vehicles/trailers/campers/boats etc. not parked on approved surfaces. Or without valid registration or inoperable etc. etc.  
  • Rubbish accumulation – property maintenance  
  • Parking over sidewalks  
In order to assist the Police Department, the city is asking the public to contact the Police Department/Administrator to report assumed violations so they can be checked out and addressed, if need be.

In other business, the council approved the 2019-2020 budget. A TIF 2 application from Side of the Road Market was tabled until Administrative Manager Bill Moline can get more information on the request.

Mr. Moline, in his project update, said the water treatment plant upgrade project bidding starts next Thursday 4/25.
