Pineapple Feather Cake

1/2 c. butter
l 1/2 sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. cake flour
l c. crushed pineapple
3 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp salt
1/4 c. water
3 egg whites, beaten

Cream butter and sugar well. Add vanilla
and salt. Put water in pineapple mix in
alternately with flour and baking powder that
have been sifted together. Fold in beaten egg
whites. Bake in 350 degree oven.
